Jacob and Shannon met in February of 2013 while attending school at Texas A&M University. One of Jacob and Shannon's mutual friends invited Jacob to stop by Shannon's dorm to say hi. There, they started conversation and decided as a group to take a trip to Galveston, TX the next day. The rest is history!

To celebrate their 3 years of dating, Jacob took Shannon on a picnic to the Dallas Arboretum on June 2, 2016. After that, he took her for a walk around the grounds and out of no where got down on one knee and popped the question! Following the proposal, Shannon and Jacob's family proceeded down to them and began celebrating!
