Toward the end of November 2019, Shannon’s then coworker, now bridesmaid, Mallory invited her to a party with her then boyfriend, now husband, Sterling and his friends. Shannon agreed to go along to the party knowing she would not know anyone there except Mallory. Immediately upon her arrival Mac introduced himself to Shannon, throughout the night he made a vigorous effort to continue talking to Shannon even though he was in town visiting friends. The next day Shannon, Mac, Mallory, and Sterling all went to brunch together. Later that afternoon Mac returned to Longview, Texas where he was living. Shannon and Mac exchanged numbers and before Mac had even left town they already had their first official date on the calendar. In the weeks following Mac continued to come back to Dallas on the weekends. Not long after, in January 2020, Mac decided take a leap of faith and move back to Dallas to be with Shannon. And with that they both knew this was meant to be and the rest is history!
