The night of October 25, 2017, Shannon went out to the Abbey Bar & Grill in West Hollywood with friends. The Dodgers were playing in the playoffs that night. The drinks were flowing, but the night was young, so the bar was still fairly empty. As friends of friends continued to arrive, the group grew, and in walked Jamie (a friend of someone in the group). Jamie sat down next to Shannon in a large circle that had been formed. She was immediately complimentary of Shannon...and Shannon liked it. Jamie was funny. Shannon was amused. Shannon was witty. Jamie was amused. The night carried on. Jamie was under the impression that her friend had a crush on Shannon, so she refrained from getting too close and kept it respectful. As a matter of fact, she would place said friend in between them at any given opportunity - on the dance floor - in photo ops - at the bar. Shannon was no longer amused with Jamie and carried on with her night. The next morning, Shannon slid into Jamie's DM on Instagram saying “It was nice meeting you last night” and invited her to a Halloween party that weekend. Jamie showed up to the Halloween party dressed as a ‘nerd.’ Shannon was dressed as a “hot cop.” Jamie liked what she saw. Shannon was excited Jamie made it out to the party. Jamie didn’t stay long, but followed up with Shannon the next day and made dinner plans... a date if you will. Where? One of their shared favorite restaurants... Benihana.
