Justin and Shannon met over ten years ago through a mutual friend, Brian. Brian and Justin worked together at Staples, and Shannon enjoyed going in and harassing Brian while he worked. During one visit, Shannon noticed Justin. He immediately caught her eye. She asked Brian about him who said, "Leave him alone, Shannon. He has a girlfriend."

Their lives followed their own paths for a few years until they met again in May of 2016 at Brian's house for a party. Now, both single, they spent the evening getting to know each other more and exchanged numbers. They talked more and more often after that night and started spending more time together, whether Justin was up from his apartment in CT to visit family, or Shannon took the drive down to CT to visit him. They especially enjoyed taking walks around Boston at night, spending hours and hours walking and talking.

They continued to date long distance, spending as much time with each other as their schedules would allow. When Covid hit in March of 2020, Shannon was out of work while the beauty industry shut down. She decided to move down to CT to spend quarantine with Justin and they enjoyed four months together, but then people were ready to be pampered again, and she had to move back home to MA for work. Justin and Shannon couldn't stand being apart, and Shannon left her in job in MA two months later and moved down to Connecticut in September 2020.

Fast forward to a year later, September 18th, 2021, when Justin planned an elaborate surprise proposal. He took Shannon to The Long Wharf in Boston that they frequented on their walks and got down on one knee. All of their friends and family were there, waiting to celebrate, hidden in the crowds of faces all around them.

Still on cloud nine from their dream engagement, in November of 2021, Shannon found out she was expecting. The two were thrilled to start their family! They started house hunting, and after months and months of putting in offers and having them outbid, they got their perfect home in June of 2022. A month later, they welcomed their son Justin jr. (JJ).

Parenthood became a whirlwind and wedding plans kept getting put on hold. Justin and Shannon visited The Wentworth in June of 2024 and knew they found their dream venue. They are so thrilled to celebrate their love and family with a night to remember!
