Jon and Shannon met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. Jon loves coffee but Shannon is gluten free, so it’s unclear who is who. Their first date was at Top Golf on March 11, 2023 where Jon wowed Shannon with his golf swing. Shannon held her own with her putt putt experience. They alternated planning dates until they wanted to hang out all the time and lost track of whose turn it was.

Jon and Shannon clicked so well and broke the record for shortest amount of time before farting in front of each other. Unbeknownst to Shannon, Jon bought the ring in July of the same year they met. He patiently waited and planned for the perfect moment to propose in Canada on February 9, 2024.
