Here are a few travel tips to think about as you start planning your travel:
1. [IMPORTANT] Check to ensure your passport is valid! This is absolutely crucial! Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Please visit the government passport website for more information. Give yourself at least 3 months for any delays with the application process.
2. Book Early: Check Google Flights now and start to get a sense of flight prices. Once room blocks are available, book early so you get your preference of room (ocean view, tropical view, etc.)
3. Keep some small bills handy: Think 20-50 pesos (a few bucks). A little goes a long way, and servers, bartenders, and housekeeping staff will appreciate the gesture.
4. Notify your bank about your travel plans: When you get to the resort, you won't be using your credit card much (all-inclusive - woo!), but it's a good best practice to update your bank about your international travel.
5. Pack light & try to carry-on: If you can, try to carry-on to avoid any airline mishaps with your luggage. We are going to Mexico after all! Outside of the wedding events attire, pack comfy basics, breezy layers, and your swimsuit essentials. Remember, you're here to soak up the sun so pack light!
6. Bring sunscreen with you: Pack travel-sized sunscreen to avoid resort markups and TSA restrictions.
7. Bring an insulated cup with you (Yeti, Stanley Cup, etc.): This is all-inclusive, so the drinks will be flowing! We've found it easier to bring an insulated cup with us to the beach or pool so our drinks stay nice and cold!
