Marc and Shannon were both in the same kindergarten class at Cajon Park School. They maintained mutual friend groups and had many of the same classes throughout elementary school, middle school, and even went to the same high school (but they didn't have any of the same classes together there, so it is a running joke of Marc's that he doesn't believe Shannon actually went to that high school...luckily there is yearbook photo evidence!)

After junior high, they only crossed paths a few times. Once in 2010 at a mutual friend's wedding, and a couple more times in their early twenties out at the classy establishments of the Pacific Beach bar scene. Then in April 2023, Marc reached out to Shannon through Instagram, and noticing she was single he took his shot and asked her out for margaritas. They've been together ever since!

That first date over drinks was filled with great conversation and they both discovered that they had the same vision for their lives and shared the same values. They felt an immediate connection, given their 30 year history, and everything they prayed for in a partner seemed to be falling into place.

In their journeys to finding each other, God answered their prayers in ways they never could have imagined. They are so excited to officially promise their love to each other forever and celebrate with their friends and family by their side on September 28th!
