With over 1000 acres located in the center of San Diego, Balboa Park will have you saying "Central Park who!?" Spend a few hours or the whole day exploring the gardens, museums, San Diego zoo, restaurants, and bars in this gem.
Take a hop on/off style tour of San Diego and Coronado Island! This tour conveniently starts in Old Town and you'll have a chance to top in Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter, Old Town, Balboa Park, Coronado, and downtown.
This historic hotel in University Heights/North Park recently got an upgrade but still holds a lot of vintage charm. Hang out in the glamorous lobby bar, eat (Quixote, a Oaxacan-style restaurant and bar, is our personal fav), play billiards or bowl at The Gutter, or spend the day lounging by the outdoor pool.
Check out what San Diego is famous for! The beautiful beaches. Some of our favorite spots include:
- Black's beach (part at La Jolla farms road and there's a decently steep but paved hike down). Beautiful views and not super crowded!
- Sunset Cliffs (go at sunset or anytime).
- La Jolla Shores (best for dolphin spotting!)
- Ocean Beach (OB) or Pacific Beach (PB)- classic San Diego beach spots.
Explore on your own or check out some of our favorite spots:
- Shank & Bone: Fresh Vietnamese spot in North Park (Shan's favorite).
- Azuki sushi: Downtown.
- Quixote: Upscale Mexican restaurant and mezcaleria in University Heights (in the Lafayette Hotel).
- Seneca trattoria: Italian, downtown.
- Kindred: Upscale vegan and cocktails. South Park.
- Maya Moon: Cafe in Normal Heights.
- Thai Time: North Park.
- Part Time Lover: Speakeasy in North Park.
- Sycamore Den: Cocktail lounge in Normal Heights.
- Blind Lady Ale House: Brewery in Normal Heights.
Gorgeous park located within San Diego! Great for short strolls, longer hikes, or rock climbing. Bring sunscreen as it can get pretty hot on these trails.
Part of downtown San Diego, SeaPort Village is a great place to take in waterfront views, shop at unique boutiques, and dine (We recommend Malibu Farms!).
