Our Wedding

Like all great love stories, this one started with pugs and ABBA. Shannon was going out for a girls night and Mitch was excited to hit the town in Bendigo after a big day at the local football. Mitch had just moved to Ballarat when they met dancing on Bull Street to BABBA.

Our Story

From the moment Mitch was born, he had a best friend in his older brother. They’ve experienced life’s highs and lows together. Some of the highs include football premierships and the birth of Corey’s two children. They can often be found talking about and watching football together.

Corey Greer 

Abby and Shannon met working together at WIN News in Bendigo. They soon became best friends and often ended up seeing eachother 7 days a week. They have some fond memories at Caulfield racecourse and in Echuca. 

Abby Blaikie 

When they were at University in Bendigo, Mitch and Justin became close one summer when they had noone else to hang out with. After that they were inseparable. Over the years, Justin was Mitch's plus one to Greer family events, stirring rumours about whether they were best friends or boyfriends. 

Justin Williams 

From the moment they met, Shannon felt a sense of warmth and familiarity from Grizzle, as if they were long lost friends or sisters. Both being cancerians, they really have nothing in common. The relationship has been solidified over many vinos, a few holidays, time spent as housemates and too many drunk youtube concerts.

Ferg was one of the first people Mitch met in Yarrawonga when he was just 8 years old. They spent their childhood and adolescence in the idyllic Yarrawonga, being wholesome nerds together. From fishing, to family guy and of course who could forget the high school band. First Class 4eva bby!!!! 

Tom Ferguson

After meeting in the first few weeks of year 7, Miranda and Shannon were inseparable throughout high school. They have shared so many fun and important moments, including holidays at Miranda's family's holiday house in Gippsland. There have also been fond memories made at birthdays, concerts, holidays, graduation and more. They've travelled overseas together and held eachother's hair back a few times.

Mitch met Andy when they were both studying Occupational Therapy at university in Bendigo. Throughout uni and work life, they've been great supports to one another, with regular 'welfare checks' at work. As both are laid back, positive dudes, it's no longer they get along so well.

They haven't known eachother long, having met in Bendigo as young professionals, but it feels like they've known eachother forever. Shannon describes Monica as 'human sunshine'. It's always a quality time when Mon's around, whether it's touch rugby, work lunch dates, dinners, winery days, or travelling around Ireland and Paris together.

Beaches, wineries, hot springs... there's plenty to do on the Mornington Peninsula.

There are so many beautiful beaches in the region. There's a great beach at Mount Martha and the nearby The Pillars for cliff jumping. There are also nice beaches at Rye and Sorrento.

If some rest and relaxation is what you seek, the hot springs is a must. The Peninsula Hot Springs, close to Rye, is a natural geothermal mineral springs and day spa with more than 70 baths. There's also the new, fancy Alba Thermal Springs and Spa.

When it comes to good places to eat and drink... you're spoilt for choice on the peninsula! The Red Hill wine region is epic, there you'll find the elegant Polperro Winery and Montalto. There is also the nearby Jackalope/Rare Hare winery, Dromana Estate, Tgallant, Foxeys Hangout, Point Leo Estate... plus many more!
