Our Wedding

It all started on St. Patrick’s Day 2019 at a bar. Shannon was 20 at the time and couldn’t get in, so Sam, being the nice guy he is, gave her his wristband so she could join the fun. That could have been the end of it, but fate had other plans. A little while later, they ran into each other again at Stokes, and this time, Sam made sure they stayed in touch by getting Shannon’s number. After a few weeks of texting, they went on their first date at Anna Maria’s Italian Restaurant in South Beloit, where they shared pasta, great conversation, and the start of something special. The next five and a half years were full of love, laughter, and plenty of long-distance road trips. Sam moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois, for work as a lineman, while Shannon moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin, to finish her undergrad. Every weekend, they took turns visiting each other, making the most of their time together. Eventually, they decided that long distance wasn’t for them anymore and made the exciting decision to move in together. Their first place was a cozy apartment above Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar in Beloit (yes, it always smelled like burgers). After about a year, they upgraded to a bigger apartment overlooking the Sky Carp Stadium, where they spent another great year together. Then, on a perfect day at the Beloit Club, Sam proposed on the 9th hole, with their families waiting nearby to celebrate. And now, they can’t wait to celebrate their next chapter with all of you!
