Contrary to popular belief, we in fact did not meet of our own accord, although we often joke that we must have at least crossed paths once or twice.

We spent perhaps 1-2 years of our upper level education merely 15 minutes away from one another, between Wayne State University, and the University of Detroit Mercy.

Life carried on and Allah had other plans in store for us.

He stayed in Michigan in a continued pursuit of dentistry.

She moved to Maryland and then Ohio to pursue her calling in Public Health.

Once we graduated, several relatives played a role in introducing us to each other. We spent months learning about one another, eventually leading to our families meeting under one roof.

Once all the dominoes had lined up, we dotted the i's and crossed the t's, and are so happy to announce ourselves as husband and wife.
