It might not sound that unusual these days but Joey and Shari met online on the dating site, “Plenty of Fish”. Joey’s daughter, Shannon, first told him about the site and since Joey is a fisherman, he thought this was the perfect place for him to catch a Keeper. They communicated for a short time via the site before deciding to meet even though it was in the middle of Covid. Their first date was at a restaurant called Mamma Mia’s in Lake Worth on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at noon, masks and all. They were the only two people at the restaurant with no buffers such as people, music, or alcohol. Both were not expecting much since they had been down this road before but they enjoyed their conversation well enough that they decided they would do it again. They had their second date the following week and met at restaurants a few more times before they began meeting at their homes. With each date they discovered how much they had in common. It was now time to introduce their pups, Snoopy and Coco. Joey was worried because Snoopy can be high maintenance and grumpy but he behaved himself and the meeting went well. Things continued to progress and later that year, September of 2021, Joey and Shari decided to move in together. Their relationship continued to progress and on December 23, 2023, Joey proposed to Shari. And, here we are.
