Sharifa and Sheldon met 15 years ago in February 2008. Their commitment to each other and their family has always been the driving force of their relationship. The love they share is such a blessing from God and they are very thankful that they get the opportunity to spread love/happiness to everyone and everything that they touch.

They were introduced by friends Ginelle and Brian at their son's 1st birthday party in (February 2008). They connected after a week of deep conversations on the phone and strong admiration for each other. Their first date was Sheldon's actual birthday and their official anniversary is March 2008.

- Sharifa Stewart was born in Kingston Jamaica in September 1983 to mother Joan Stewart and father Horace Stewart. Sharifa migrated to America at the age of 5. She was embraced and adored by her entire family. She was cared for by her big brother (Hasani), aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of her family friends. She grew up in Harlem, New York and later moved to the Bronx, New York. Sharifa grew up as a happy, vibrant child who spent most of her childhood active in dance, music and sports. She played the flute throughout middle school and was an Honor Roll student in all subjects. Her parents constantly reinforced the importance of education and hard work. Their love/support aided her path to success. Sharifa studied Cosmetology in High School and is a licensed beautician. She also has a BS degree in Finance. She has a 20 year career in private/public investment banking.

She is very kind, loving, passionate, honest, trustworthy, confident and head strong. These qualities caught Sheldon's attention and soon after, he would learn that she lost her mother to Breast Cancer in 2006. This significant loss is not easy to deal with and Sheldon has been a huge support throughout all these years. He has unselfishly given soo much patience, understanding and therapy to this situation. He's one of the most important factors towards Sharifa's stability. Without Sheldon's emense contributions, their family would not be where they are today.

- Sheldon Gordon was born in The Bronx New York in March 1984 to mother Roana McIntosh and father Hopeton Gordon. Sheldon grew up surrounded by constant love and happiness. He was embraced and adored by his entire family. He was cared for by his grandmother (Caroline), grand aunt (Anita), big brother (Johnnie), siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and all of his family friends. He then found an extended family through Martial Arts. At age 9, Sheldon enrolled in Boston Road Taekwondo and studied this art throughout grade school. Sheldon is a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo and competed in tournaments throughout grade school. He also taught youth defense, where he learned how to manage and interact with children. He acquired skill sets that would assist him throughout his first career. Later, he went on to college and studied business management. He spent most of his career in child care and construction. He is soo patient, understanding, honest, kind, loving and supportive. He brings soo much joy and happiness to his family and friends.

- Sharifa & Sheldon (The Couple) :
They both find comfort spending time together. They have been inseparable since they've met. They enjoy going out to dinners, shopping, watching movies, watching sports, going to sporting events and going on vacation. Their love for basketball and football brought them even closer. It was a huge coincidence that they both love the New York Giants football team.

- Sharifa & Sheldon (The Parents) :
As a result of soo many years of love, they gave birth to two handsome sons. Sheldon Jr. (age 9) born December 2013 and Sharif age (6) born November 2016. They're the absolute love of their parents' lives. They're thankful that they share the best gifts in the world. They're soo excited that their boys get an opportunity to experience all their family moments, especially their parents' upcoming wedding.
