Beauty and the Bass

You never know where your path will take you....and God's plans are better than our own! We first met a decade ago at The Orchard Church when we were both part of the contemporary worship team. Sharon sang (aka The Beauty) and Vince played bass (aka The Bass). We served together several times a month, became friends, but then through a variety of circumstances we went our separate ways. Fast forward to the beginning of 2020, and we happened to run into each other again in the lobby of church. In February 2020, we met up for coffee and tea. And then....March 2020 and COVID happened! We were forced to communicate from afar for several months. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We talked a bunch and we grew closer as friends. After a while, we had enough of the social distancing and stared seeing one another in the Spring. Ask us the story about our 1st first date and our 2nd first date. We don't agree when our first date happened, so we've agreed to disagree. :-) We had to be creative due to all the indoor mask and gathering restrictions so many of our dates were to places like the Chicago Botanic Gardens, Morton Arboretum, Creation Museum, Door County, and many more beautiful outdoor locations. Given all our outdoor dates, it seems only fitting that we are planning an outdoor wedding at The Grove this fall. Vince proposed on Christmas Eve in 2022. We were so glad to be able to share the good news with our families later that evening and on Christmas Day. We are so grateful that God brought our paths together again and we look forward to starting our lives together as husband and wife. We know that He will continue to guide our journey.

Where is the Grove?

&nbsp;The GROVE is located at 1421 Milwaukee Ave. between Lake Ave. and Glenview/Dearlove Roads. It is on the east side of Milwaukee Ave., just south of the Route 294 overpass, 3 miles north of Golf Rd. &nbsp;From Northwest Suburbs:Take Willow Rd., east to Milwaukee Ave. Turn right (south) on Milwaukee Ave., to the Grove.From O’Hare Airport:Take Route 294 north to Willow exit West. Take Willow to first stoplight (Sanders Rd.) Turn left in Sanders and continue to Milwaukee Ave. Turn left onto Milwaukee and continue south to The Grove.Downtown Chicago:Take Route 94 west (going north) to Lake Ave., exit west. Continue on Lake approximately 6 miles to Milwaukee Ave. and turn left. Continue south to The Grove.
