On May 4, 2022 we met at Gateway House of Prayer. That summer we hung out and got to know each other but didn't want to start dating before Shaun was going to leave to do a DTS school with Iris Global in the fall. So we continued to get to know each other, eagerly waiting for him to come home and so that we could progress to dating.

While he was away he felt the Lord calling him to serve in Mozambique for a year on a mission base. He didn't know when he was going to leave again, it could be a 1-8 months. The Lord totally rearranged our plans and since we wanted to put obedience to Him first, we put the idea of dating on the back burner and decided to go our separate ways for now .

Less than a month later Shaun asked me out again because he found out it was going to be a little while till his visas got approved. After much prayer and consideration we started dating February 2, 2023 trusting the Lord was going to show us in few months if this relationship was worth doing a year of long distance for. About 4.5 months into dating his visas got approved and he was ready to go over seas and left for Mozambique at the end of July 2023.

Meanwhile God dropped an opportunity in my lap to be a live-in nanny in Hawaii and I left a few months after Shaun did. It made long distance a little easier since we both were doing new things. But long-distance had its hard times and it was truly Lord that got us through it. So we ended up on the total opposite ends of the earth for 10 months of long distance.

We reunited in May 2024 and we had so much fun going on dates again and making memories together. It was so amazing seeing how God provided for us through it all and how He pieced our story together. Then 6 months later on November 3, 2024 we got engaged and the rest is yet to come!
