Our Wedding

Kimberly was starting her first year in college and excited to have a new beginning outside of the big apple. Shawn was in his third year of college, and excited to be meeting his new residents. He would try to help adjust into the life of living on there own. Shawn and Kimberly met in the stair way up to the 5th floor which was Shawn's floor. It turned out later that Kimberly was one of the new residents on his floor.

After the first floor meeting there was a lot of events that brought the two closer together. Movie dates, camping and campus events to just name a few. One cold winter night the two decided to go for a walk in a snow storm, Shawn was leading the way for the first half of the walk as they talked about what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives. Kimberly was then put in charge of the second half of the walk where she proceeded to lead the two off a snow bank which collapsed dropping the two into a huge pile of snow. This is the moment that they both realized they loved each other.

How We Met  08 / 22 / 2013

It was a cold winter night when Kimberly said yes! December 3rd on our Christmas giving day with both families present, we decided to walk around the towns Christmas light festival. It was a beautiful night but very cold. Shawn wanted to take Kimberly on a carriage ride at the festival and wanted to propose then. Shawn’s plan began to change when we arrived at the station where the carriage ride should be but they informed Shawn that it was closed. Kimberly was beginning to get cranky due to being so cold. We decided to head back to the car and Shawn still did not get a chance to propose. On our way to the car there was a big Christmas tree that was lit up and Kimberly’s brother decided that we should stop to take pictures by the tree. It was a perfect time for Shawn to propose. Kimberly and Shawn went up next to take their picture and this is was the moment Shawn turn to Kimberly and asked “would you marry me” and she said yes! Pictures and videos were taken, a night to remember ending with beautiful fireworks on one cold winter night.

I’ve known Kimberly since high school. When I think of some of my best memories from that time, Kimberly was always involved. She is the kind of person that is always there for you, both figuratively and literally. For a reason that will never truly be understood, Kimberly would always carry 2 book bags with her everyday to school from one class to another. It was always a topic of conversation when classmates and teachers would ask, “Why does she carry so many bags?”. Ultimately Kimberly had the last laugh. When test time came around, guess who everyone turned to when they forgot to bring a pencil for the scantrons. Kimberly was like a drug dealer in the school, except she was always carrying supplies.&nbsp;Its crazy remembering how we use to talk about being broken hearted or giving each other advice on stupid boys who made us cry. Now Kimberly has found the one and I couldn’t be prouder. Kimberly and Shawn&nbsp;are an example of how no matter how much you lived the struggle, there is always true love out there waiting. Congratulations Kimberly and Shawn!

Matthias is a light-hearted person who tries to not take himself too seriously. He lives in upstate NY near Ithaca, and he works as an engineer. His hobbies include gaming, writing, listening to music, watching Netflix, and outdoor activities like kayaking, swimming, and hiking. Matthias met Shawn and Kim while attending Alfred State. He and Shawn bonded over their shared love of video games and other techie things, while he and Kim bonded over their bubbly personalities, college misadventures, and their competing love for Shawn.

My name is Emily, I'm studying to be an environmental scientist and ecologist. It seems as though I've know Shawn my whole life.. he's like a brother to me. And Kim, she's like a sister in law to me.. can't remember a time before I knew Shawn. I live in Oregon, I am interested in medicinal herbs and natural healing. I like farming and plants and eating good healthy food. I am happy that Shawn and Kim found each other, they make a good match and seem to make each other happy.

I was forced to write something about myself, but I think my picture speaks for itself! I mean I can go on and on about myself, but then it'll be my wedding.&nbsp;Let me start by saying, I've known Kimberly and Shawn for a little too long.&nbsp;I met both Kimberly and Shawn at Alfred. I remember when I was first hanging out with Kim she was going on and on and on about what she was doing in school, and I was thinking to myself; "this girl talks a lot". There was one day, Kim and I were hanging out in the Engineering building and she was showing me pictures of her boyfriend, this is before I knew him, and I said "Oh I think he is in one of my classes." Then she said "Oh really? Makes sure he doesn't talk to no 'girls' (explicit)".&nbsp;I actually don't remember ever introducing myself to either one of them. I think once Kimberly found out a little about me she did a whole Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Search on me; yup I think that's what happened. But ever since then we became friends.&nbsp;It's been, I think 4 years since we all became friends and 3 since Kimberly and I became best friends. She's helped me through a lot over the past couple of years, and I'm happy I can have and call her my best friend!I'm VERY happy and excited to see what the future holds for you two... This means kids, lots of them! You two have a fantastic bond that I know will only get stronger past the special day.&nbsp;With the great support from family, friends, and obviously me you guys can make it through anything. Even though I barely every say it, I really love you guys and Kim, you mean a lot to me and I want nothing but the best for you!&nbsp;

My name is Connor Hellner and I’m an Electrical Engineer currently living in Los Angeles California. I currently work for a company that designs and manufactures high security and anti-terrorism traffic systems (for the FBI and whatnot, but no biggie). While I may sound like a ‘bigshot’ I had a humble upbringing in upstate New York where I went to college and where I met Shawn.

  

I remember many things about Alfred State College, being frigid cold in the winter immediately comes to mind, but some of the best memories I have are from hanging out with Shawn. Whether that was in our engineering lab playing D&D, exchanging food for laundry credits, or discussing our interesting array of professors. I was also very fortunate last year to have Shawn as one of my groomsmen as I got married to the most incredible person and the love of my life. 

  

Nowadays I spend most of my free time cooking, gaming, coding and binge-watching shows with my wife. Well, that and managing the chaos that my two cats impart on my life. All in all, I am both delighted and honored to be one of the groomsmen at Shawn and Kim’s wedding and I am very excited to be a part of their big day.

Hey everyone, My name is Rosanna. As you all may know I am one of Kim’s Bridesmaids. I am so excited and honored to be chosen as one of her bridesmaids. Let me tell you a little about how I met Shawn and kimberly. Although I feel like i’ve known kim since I was like 10 years old. I met her and Shawn during my first week at Alfred State College . Shawn was my RA and Kim was one of my suit mates. Shawn was great from the moment I met him! He was so supportive and friendly towards all of us. Shawn basically made the friend group we were in. Now Kim, I remember when Kim and her family first came into the suit. Her mom instantly came to my room and introduced herself and her Kim to me. She made a couple of jokes and asked where i was from. By the end she told me to take care of kim like if she was my sister. Since that day me and kimberly have shared so many memories together and I am excited to be part of this one as well. I wish Shawn and Kimberly the best in their life and their future together! I love You both!

My name is Kevin Torres, I am 27 years old and I am from the Bronx. I have known Kimberly since she was six years old. We attended the same elementary school and I was close friends with her brother while she was close friends with my sister. One day after school I was walking with Yomar to go meet up with his sister so their mom could pick them up from school. Kimberly was standing and waiting talking to my sister. That is the moment we came to realize that we knew each other’s sibling. Since that day on I have been very close friends with the Ynfante family. Kimberly and I weren’t always best friends, she was a weird kid growing up. Always looking through my bag, always following me and never stopped talking about me but over the years we have created a tight bond. I met Shawn a few times in family parties and he is a great guy for Kimberly. He knows how to calm her down and knows how to talk to her. I have been with her from her first relationship and now her last. I am so happy to say that Kim’s final choice was a good one this time! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ynfante Sanfilippo.

My name is Yomar Infante and I am beyond excited to be a part of this celebration. I am 26 years old and currently work as a Senior Analyst for Albany Medical Center. As Kimberly's oldest brother, I could not be more trilled to share this happy moment with her. My favorite memory of them will always be the week after Thanksgiving where we all got together and were able to witness their engagement under the fireworks. I'm excited to be a part of their court and I can not wait to be a part of their wedding.

My name is Jake Kanner. I am Shawn’s brother in-law. I first met Shawn at Nelly’s Restaurant about 6 years ago, while getting breakfast with his older sister, Amanda(who was my girlfriend at the time). I took notice upon the great relationship that Shawn had with his sister and also how we both put eggs on our toast before eating them. Just an odd observation that stuck with me. The first time I met Kim was at Dansville. Shawn was camping there with a friend and Kim. My first impression of Kim was that she was a kind and caring person. You could see how much Shawn adored her and how much she adored him in return. Now I look forward to adding Kimberly as a sister-in law.

Pair me with a glass of wine and I’ll be a good time.&nbsp;One day, many years ago, my mother and I had made a trip out to Alfred to visit Shawn. Upon being showed his dorm, we had heard someone singing in the showers. We where soon to be introduced to miss Kimberly. The cute, kind, bubbly girl that my family has grown to love. They have a genuine relationship that inspires.
