Things to Do

Fritz's

This is where we went on our very first unofficial date. Meals are delivered by miniature trains that travel around the restaurant, making it just as fun as it is nostalgic. A must-visit for a uniquely Kansas City experience.

Parkville Mini Golf

The location of our first official date — and a place that holds a very special place in our hearts. We started with dinner at the Italian restaurant next door, enjoyed a picnic by the river, and finished the evening with a round of mini golf. We even returned here years later for our gender reveal.

Clay & Fire

A Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Kansas City where we celebrated our second anniversary. Nestled in a charming, converted home, dining here feels like sitting at someone’s dinner table — cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The dip platter, featuring house-made hummus and rotating seasonal pickles, is a must, along with their KC award-winning Grandma’s Pizza.

Garozzo's Downtown

One of our most frequented restaurants and a Kansas City classic. This is where we went for dinner the night he proposed. Known for its Hall of Fame wall featuring photos with celebrities and owner Mr. Garozzo, it’s as iconic as it is delicious. My favorite is the pesto gnocchi Giuseppe, Jonathan loves everything on the menu, and we always end the night by sharing tiramisu.

K&B's Fun Town

A favorite spot for our family in Parkville and a place we visit often with Luca. This kid-friendly play space is perfect for imaginative play and social interaction. Parents can recharge at the in-house café with freshly made lattes — or grab an Alani to keep up with little ones. When playtime is over, there’s ice cream just down the sidewalk and a restaurant nearby for a full family outing.

Alexander’s Meeting Grounds Coffee

No list would be complete without a great coffee stop. This is one of our all-time favorite places to grab coffee — a true oldie but goodie. While we love Kansas City’s incredible coffee scene and encourage exploring, this spot is one we wouldn’t trade for anything. With a wide variety of syrups (including sugar-free options), there are endless drink combinations, plus pastries and breakfast items to enjoy.
