We met in September 2017 as freshman at Western Michigan University. Thomas, or Tommy as many of you know him by, lived on the fifth floor of our dorm and I (Shayla) the second. We quickly became inseparable, and even shared many of the same classes since we had the same undergraduate degree. From Kalamazoo, Mount Pleasant, and now Merrillville, we have lived many places but as long as we were together, it always felt like home. In June 2022, we adopted our only child, Gouda. Some refer to him as a “dog” but to us he is truly our baby. We have been a family of 3 ever since. As we have both made successful careers for ourselves, we are ready to take the next step and tie the knot with our friends and family by our side. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and see where this next step in our lives take us.
