Shayla and Ozzie’s love story is truly heartwarming! Despite not attending the same school, they met through mutual friends during their early High School years. Ozzie moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. Shayla was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah. During their years in High School they did not get to spend a lot of time together, however, whenever they did, they quickly developed a strong connection that kept them coming back for more.


In April 2018, Shayla reached out to Ozzie, hoping to reignite their friendship. Ozzie, who is a family-oriented person and focuses on his future, had not seen Shayla in a while. Shayla invited him to a show at the dome theatre in the Clark Planetarium, Ozzie agreed to go. Even though there is some disagreement about who asked who on their first date, they both agreed that their conversations flowed beautifully, and effortlessly. That day they shared their first REAL kiss.


In March 2019, Ozzie asked Shayla to be his girlfriend, taking their relationship to the next level. In September 2020, they moved into their first apartment together, which was a significant milestone in their relationship.


On June 26, 2022, Ozzie proposed to Shayla in Newport Beach, California, and she said YES! This was a beautiful moment for them, and they are excited to take their commitment to the next level. Thank you for joining them on August 17 to be apart of their wedding celebration!
