Our Wedding

Fred and Shayla met each other at minor league baseball Grizzlies Stadium in 2017. Although they did not know each other or talked to each other much, Fred knew that Shayla was someone he wanted to get to know. He spent the next three years flirting with her at work while she attempted to flirt with other guys, completely oblivious to Freds flirtatious behavior. They exchanged snapchats sometime in these three years and watched each others stories for some time. Fred went off to college at SIC in Harrisburg and Shayla went to college at Xavier University in Ohio. February 2, 2020 Shayla messaged Fred telling him happy birthday and that started conversation. They caught up on how school was and how life was and just chatted for the next month. Then in March right before spring break, Fred asked if Shayla would make time to hang out over spring break to get to know each other better. Shayla agreed and came home for spring break only to find out she would never return to Ohio. They spend an evening together and shared their first kiss before Covid got serious. Then they didnt see each other until May. On May 1st Fred came to take Shayla out on a date (McDonald’s in her car because of covid) and they gave their relationship a title. From then they began building each other up and continuing the relationship. They bought their own house on October 19, 2022 and had their son Kaid on July 10, 2023. Things began moving very fast. Fred proposed on September 24, 2023 and so began the brutal wedding planning that Shayla thought she started years ago but actually realized then thats theres so much more!

Chelsea and Shayla have been best friends since freshman year of high school. 10 years in the running! Chelsea was always scared of Shayla before she met her because of her RBF but instantly clicked when introduced by a mutual friend. They have celebrated so much together, from graduating high school with their associates degrees, and forwarding onto college and cheering each other on from an hour+ away, to helping each other get ready to say ‘I do’. They were both there for each other for the breakups before the final man and both are able to stand with the other to celebrate their new life!

Shayla met Kiya in 2003 when their parents decided to bring another life into the world. They grew up pretty close with times where they got along to times when Kiya would run up on Shayla and bite her back so hard she bled. Teenage years got rough but once they got to 18/16 their bond came back stronger. Rapping matches on car rides and random shopping trips made life so much fun! They will always be close and have great love for each other!

Shayla met Renee in 2005 when once again their parents brought another life to the world. While Shayla and Renee had not been very close at a young age, as they grew older, they began to understand each other a little more. Shayla became Renees biggest fan and supporter in her bowling career and became very proud very quick. As their bond began getting stronger they begin to share life goals with each other and hopes for the best for one another!

Shayla and Lizzy met prior to Shayla and Fred dating. They also met the same place Shayla and Fred met, at Grizzlies. Lizzy actually trained Shayla in a couple of areas at Grizzly and so they would say hi here and there. Once Shayla and Fred began dating, Lizzy, as the great big sister she is, hoped that Shayla would be the best woman for her little brother. They grew to become close and would hang out here and there to celebrate activities and just hang with the family.
