Kevin and Shayla met in college through mutual friends. Shayla had always thought Kevin was cute and tried a few times to get to know him,&nbsp;but their paths didn't cross until their second year. It was October 20th, 2017 when&nbsp;Shayla decided that she was determined to learn more about the quiet guy who knew how to destroy a dance floor and who always manged to pull off khaki pants. Shayla had previously rehearsed what she was going to do and say to win Kevin over at her birthday celebration they were throwing that night, but instead may have gotten a little ahead of herself and had one too many drinks... so instead of sitting at the table with Kevin using her best chat-up lines, she was in the bathroom (attractive, we know). That somehow didn't defer Kevin though and he actually spent the rest of the night holding back her hair and getting to know her while they sat on a dingy college res bathroom floor.&nbsp; After a bit of back-and-forth, do you "like me" or "LIKE LIKE me" wondering, Kevin and Shayla quickly became friends that eventually turned into best friends. Somehow being so different and similar at the same time, it meant that hanging out was never boring and consisted of going to different pet stores in town, watching movies at home, and talking about Vancouver Canucks hockey (which happened to be one of the requirements Shayla's dad had for his daughter's future husband). One Saturday morning, Kevin surprised Shayla with tickets to see their favorite hockey team play in Calgary and they took a road trip. It was on this road trip that Kevin made things "official" (walking through a sketchy casino looking for a bathroom) and I think when Shayla decided that the deal had been sealed. They both knew fairly early that they had both found "the one", because it was after they returned from visiting Shayla's family in High Level for New Years when Kevin knew too. Their trip was cold but the love they had for each other was warm, and it was on that trip that Kevin thought to himself, "I'm going to marry this girl!". It was exactly a year later when Kevin got down on one knee when the new year turned over, and he asked Shayla if she would marry him. Obviously, she said yes. Since that hockey game and their trip to High Level, Kevin and Shayla have both showed each other new things... like Shayla showing Kevin that sushi is delicious and Kevin showing Shayla that being a football fan can be exciting, and they've adventured so much together as a couple.&nbsp; While their story is still young, Shayla and Kevin are so excited to start this new chapter together and are excited to share this time of their lives with you! They thank you for all of your love and support!

Tristan has been one of my closest friends since middle school and we've spent an absurd amount of time together growing up! He can always make you laugh and his infectious personality will brighten any room. And as we promised, he'll be signing me away on the big day.&nbsp;

Keisha is my beautiful older sister and Matron of Honor! I have always looked up to her and I cannot imagine getting married without her by my side. I've always been told I am just like my sister, and that is the best compliment I can have!

Jaydan is the kind of guy that is always going to have your back. He works hard all season long, but at the end of the day he’ll always find the time for a friend. We began by playing peewee football together from ayoung age. As the years have gone on we have become closer and closer in our friendship. He is one of the most loyal and trustworthy guys I’ve ever met.

Chris is about as loyal as a friend can get, and I know I can always count on him to have my back. He's also made me an uncle to two beautiful little girls and I can't thank him enough for that. Couldn't picture him not by my side.&nbsp;

Sara has been my best friend since we were 7 years old. She's been with me through every awkward stage, heartbreak, and adventure and I am so excited she'll be with me for this next adventure!

Trent is my little brother and even though it might not seem like it at times, we have always been very close. Through the ups and downs that we have gone through, I&nbsp;know he will always have my back, as I&nbsp;would his!

Hannah is one of the&nbsp;amazing people that I have met through Kevin, and has been by my side through so much! She lightens up my days and I always know I can count on her! She's always had my back and I don't know where I would be without her.&nbsp;
