Shayna and Chad first met on the dating app Hinge in July 2019. The one question that caught Chad's eye was Shayna's statement, "I need someone to eat the tomatoes on my meals because I don't like them." After swiping right, Chad replied, "I'll eat your tomatoes," and the two hit it off. After some back-and-forth banter, they decided to go on their first date at Liberati Restaurant & Brewery in Denver, which is now closed. However, that didn't stop the love-struck couple from having an enjoyable time. Although the food may have been average, the conversation and company that the two shared that night was the start of something beautiful.

Since they began dating, Chad and Shayna have been on many adventures together, including camping (more like glamping), paddleboarding, getting scuba certified, hiking in Boulder, Steamboat Springs, and Moab, white-water rafting down the Colorado River and Arkansas River, seeing the Grand Canyon, and vacationing with family in Honduras, Mexico, Las Vegas and several cruises. Not to mention the countless amazing meals the two have shared, such as Chad taking Shayna to her first real steakhouse experience, many meals at their favorite sushi restaurants Kenji Sushi and Sushi Umi, and their recent new obsession with seafood boils. The two always bond over a good meal.

Chad and Shayna thank Hinge, and especially tomatoes, for bringing them together and helping foster a lifelong partnership. With laughter, shared experiences, and lots of love, Chad and Shayna cannot wait to share their big day with family and friends to celebrate their union.
