What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Our wedding has a semi-formal/cocktail attire dress code.
What will the weather be like?
Weather in north east Florida in late February is typically cooler and drier with temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place outdoors in front of a giant oak tree and the reception will take place under a covered patio.
What happens after the ceremony?
The wedding party will be taking photos nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger food and beverages during a cocktail hour. Guests are also free to leave the venue and come back at any time.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend you arrive about an hour before the start of the ceremony (around 2 pm) to make sure everyone is seated on time.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking is available at the venue free of charge.
Are kids welcome?
We are only allowing close family members to bring their children. Also, we are kindly asking for parents to remove their children from the ceremony area if they become disruptive.
Can I bring a plus one?
Yes! Just make sure to include them on your RSVP.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We are not doing hotel blocks, but there are a few hotel recommendations listed on the travel page. There are also some AirBnB options in the area.
When is the RSVP deadline?
We appreciate your RSVP before the deadline of January 25th.
Will dinner be served at the reception?
Yes! We will be having good ol' southern BBQ.
Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?
We are happy to accommodate special dietary restrictions but you will need to let us know well-ahead of time.
Do you have a registry?
No, your presence at our wedding is enough! However, we are still open to any gifts or honeymoon fund donations that can be sent via PayPal to @ShaynaPowless :)
Will transportation be provided between the hotel and venue?
No, we suggest renting a car, ride share, or carpooling with others.
Do you have recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
Of course! Visit the 'Things to Do' page of our wedding website where you can find a list of local attractions and our favorite spots.
