Edison and Shayna met on a blind date set up by Shayna's cousin, Jichell, and her husband, Riley. Shayna thought she was hanging out with Jichell since they recently moved back to the same area. When she arrived she was informed it was in fact a set up. Edison had a hunch those two were up to something.

They all went to the Fermentorium in Cedarburg where they enjoyed beers and appetizers. They then went to Nuckleheadz Bar and Grill in West Bend where Shayna and Edison lost horribly in pool to Riley and Jichell, but made a comeback when the game switched to darts. Edison texted Shayna later that night saying "I think I may have found my new dart partner." He didn't know, he found his dart partner for life.

Edison planned a second date kayaking, something they both enjoy, on a lake neither of them had been on before. They spent hours talking and kayaking, little did they know they'd found their best friend.

The following dates consisted of game nights, Brewer games, birthday celebrations, Fish Fry Fridays, double dates, meeting the parents, movie nights, hiking dates, and so much more. The more time they spent together, the faster they fell in love with each other. It didn't take long for Shayna and Edison to know they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together!
