Corbin and I first met during the summer after our senior year of high school in 2018. My first impression of him was that he was going to be a great friend.
Fast forward to the end of freshman year of college in 2019, after months of memories at the gym working out or playing basketball, eating together at the dining hall, watching shows and playing games, and many AXID formals, he told me that he was transferring back to a school in Texas. I felt devastated and knew that we had both grown strong feelings for each other over the past year of friendship and I was going to miss him very much. We were quite literally inseparable during the last 6 months. Corbin invited me to drive back to Texas with him at the beginning of the summer and asked me to be his girlfriend at Joe T Garcia's the day before I traveled back home to Nebraska.
One of the first memories I have where I thought to myself, "I could picture myself marrying Corbin," was during the following year during our long-distance relationship when I was still in Nebraska and he was in Texas.. even though we made a pact during our first year of friendship that we would get married if we were both single by 30. Corbin eventually transferred back to Nebraska for Junior year and we made great memories together until we finished college. We graduated in December of 2022 and made the move to Burleson, Texas.
The proposal happened in Charleston, South Carolina on December 10th of 2023. Corbin surprised me on our "girl's trip" and asked me to marry him at the White Point Garden under the beautiful trees of South Carolina. When he proposed to me, I was flooded with emotions and was in complete shock. I had not even the slightest idea that this was happening. Corbin talked about our past, present, and future and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The idea of spending forever with Corbin was a no-brainer. I have never felt so much love, adoration, and effortlessness. Corbin was not only my partner, but my best friend that I wanted next to me in the good, bad, and ugly. I SAID YES!
We're both so grateful to you, our community, for your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate the wedding with you soon!
