Q + A

How long do I need to book for?

Rarotonga is a small island and our wedding festivities are for 3 days starting with the welcome drinks on Wednesday evening, a bachelor/bachelorette on Thursday and then the wedding on Friday so allow yourself some time to fly, settle in and maybe a few days after to discover Raro on your own and take in the sights. We would recommend 6 -7 days. Longer if you would like to discover other islands such as Aitutaki.

Where shall we stay?

Nilesh and I will be staying at the Sanctuary Rarotonga-on the Beach. The ceremony will be on Aroa beach - hosted by their sister resort The Rarotongan Resort and Lagoonarium which is right next door. Highly recommend booking into one of these accomodations since it'll be easier to stumble back to your rooms after the reception. We also have a promo code that can be used at either of these resorts: WED12JUL24

What will the weather be like in July?

Warm, balmy and with mild sea temperatures, the Cook Islands sure has a better winter than NZ. The average maximum temperature in July is 25°C, which is often extremely comfortable and soothing throughout the day. Evenings are a little cooler, however, where it's best to have an extra layer, especially when combined with the sea breeze! The average low is 19°C

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 29th February 2024, so we have an accurate headcount.

Can I bring a plus one?

We have a strict guest list to ensure we stay within our budget so we will only be able to accomodate those listed on your invitation. Please check your invitation for plus ones...

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is formal. Think chic, elegant dresses for the ladies and smart matching jacket and pants with a shirt for men

What do I wear to the Welcome Drinks?

Elegant resort wear. Think stylish, sophisticated and appropriate for an upscale resort. This could be flowy, tropical maxi dresses, sundresses, skirts, jumpsuits and a dress polo for males with linen pants/shorts

What will the Bachelor and Bachelorette events entail?

Both of these will take place the day before the wedding on the 11th of July. The bachelor party will be a fishing trip for the lads as Nilesh is keen to head out onto the water. There will be a cost for the boat charter - (tbc) The Bachelorette party will have a relaxing spa day getting pampered with massages, scrubs, facials etc. Cost will depend on services chosen

Do I have to attend the bachelor/bachelorette events?

Only if you wish to. There is no obligation to. You may choose to do your own thing and relax or explore Rarotonga by yourselves or even organize another group activity with the other guests in attendance. This day is yours to enjoy yourselves
