Love is Brewing

In 2015, Sheila moved from her home state of Michigan to Sheboygan Wisconsin with her best friend Amanda. Sheila and Amanda were working together, partying together, and living together again (across the hall but close enough!) Living their best lives working hard and playing hard! Sheila took a job as a cook at Destination Kohler and was working to grow as a young professional. Bouncing around to different restaurants when finally finding a place that felt like home - Whistling Straits.

Aaron had grown up in this little big town on the shores of Lake Michigan, and in 2013 he left his hometown to join the US Army. He served as an E4 Specialist and served in Korea and Washington State until 2016. He returned home and start working at Whistling Straits where he was employed before he joined the service.

Enter Sheila.

On his first day back at Whistling Straits, Aaron was introduced to Sheila, who was immediately smitten! They would talk for hours at work and even off the clock and became fast friends. Though Aaron very rarely came to witness Sheila's karaoke expertise on Thursdays, they made it work. Sheila had won free suite tickets to a baseball game in Milwaukee. Though Sheila is never one to be shy, she was nervous to make the first move. Eventually, Sheila worked up the courage and asked Aaron if he would come with her to a baseball game. On August 22nd, 2016 we went on our first date to see The Milwaukee Brewers take on The Colorado Rockies (they won 4-2!)

We were pretty inseparable since! We went from weird 20 somethings who loved Lord of the Rings and Vikings into weird 30 somethings, who still love Lord of the Rings and Vikings. Even though their favorite thing to do is stay home in their comfies, Aaron and Sheila went on many adventures when they were dating, and had countless good times! In 2022, they decided to embark on their greatest adventure yet; Marriage!!

Six years in, Aaron finally popped the question!

They were at their home on Christmas Eve. After a busy holiday season, both Sheila and Aaron did a terrible job wrapping gifts that year. They decided on the trusty 'close your eyes and don't peek!' When Sheila opened her eyes, he was on one knee, engagement ring in hand!

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
