We met freshman year through BCM at Florida State, became friends, and over the following summer our friends took a trip to Jacksonville. It was on this trip that AJ realized he liked Shelbi :)

At the first FSU game of the 2021 season, Shelbi went to a tailgate with some family friends and AJ offered to walk with her from the tailgate to the game. The moms immediately started wondering who the “new tall boy” was even though Shelbi swore they were just friends!

AJ would always volunteer to run errands with Shelbi or study with her and she always tried to make it a group hang out. (Shelbi knew she liked him but was waiting for him to ask her out the right way lol.) Once he mustered up the courage we went to Tallahassee Nurseries on our first date and picked out this cute little plant!

We started dating on October 14! Many of our early dates were spent watching sunsets on top of the Pensacola parking garage on campus :)

We also spent a lot of time cheering on the Noles! This was the picture Shelbi posted to make their relationship Instagram official (as the kids call it).

Shelbi went to visit AJ’s mom in Denver!!

We celebrated our one year anniversary at the best place: Doak Campbell Stadium!

Shelbi graduated from Florida State!

Shelbi moved to California for the summer to work for Young Life! AJ came to visit and we took a day trip to San Francisco where we enjoyed being tourists together!

Once again we celebrated an anniversary at Doak! 2 years!

The easiest yes ever!!! We had planned to celebrate Valentine’s Day a few days late but little did Shelbi know AJ had a much better plan! He proposed at Maclay Gardens, a state park in Tallahassee, and even through a drizzle of rain it was perfect!!!

We celebrated our engagement by taking a trip to Budapest and Prague with AJ’s mom, Angela. It was Shelbi's first time traveling out of the country!

This summer we got to celebrate many of our friends as they got married! And we’re next!!!

As we get closer to December 14, we feel continuously grateful that the Lord has brought us together! We are so excited to celebrate this special day with each of you. Thank you for how you have played a part in our story thus far!
