In the middle of Covid, early 2021, David and Shelby both found themselves branching out and looking to online dating. They started texting in January and quickly found that their personalities were a perfect match. After a few "FaceTime Dates" to get to know each other better, they finally met in person.

Through the rest of the pandemic, some extreme highs, and low lows, David and Shelby spent the next 2.5 years growing together and falling even more in love. Then, on vacation in the Outer Banks in September 2023, David *finally* asked the question Shelby was dying to answer. (Spoiler alert: she said yes)

David and Shelby cannot wait to celebrate with friends and family as they formally commit their lives to one another. Often they will ask each other "how did I get so lucky?" and the answer is simple: "You swiped right!"
