Our Story

Shelby and Stephen first met in 2016 when they both worked together as Software Engineers on the same team at BBVA Compass. Their friendship quickly blossomed outside the work place and soon became best friends. Unfortunately, life got in the way and the two found themselves going separate ways in both their professional and personal lives. Until one night a mutual friend happened to invite them both to the same party. They quickly picked up where things left off and sparks flew!

Now, 4 years after the night fate brought them back together, they are extremely excited to start their Happily Ever After.

Ashton Palomaria - Maid of Honor

Shelby and Ashton met at Auburn University and have remained friends ever since. Through Ashton’s multiple moves across states, they remained there for each other through life’s biggest moments.

Diana Latypova - Bridesmaid

Shelby and Diana met through Stephen’s groomsman, Josh. They both enjoy Australian shepherds and game nights.

Rebecca Gray - Bridesmaid

Shelby and Rebecca met in Birmingham through mutual friends and her sister, Katherine. They are two friends who enjoy themed parties, thriller books, and good movies.

Katherine Yousif - Bridesmaid

Shelby and Katherine met in Birmingham through mutual friends, including Stephen. Katherine and her husband, Jordan, are pivotal in bringing the happy couple back together!

Groomsmen

Ethan Coleman - Best Man

Stephen and Ethan met in 1st grade at Pleasant Grove Elementary School and quickly became best friends.

Josh Matthews - Groomsmen

Stephen and Josh met in elementary school at PGES. They both majored in Computer Science at UAB and even worked together during their college internships.

Taylor Brown - Groomsmen

Stephen and Taylor met in elementary school at PGES. The two became close post college and bonded over their shared interest in Disc Golf.

Jay Wilson - Groomsmen

Stephen and Jay met in elementary school at PGES. The two of them bonded in high school over their common interest in music and skateboarding.

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 19th

What is the dress code?

We are requesting our guests please wear semi-formal attire. Please note the wedding party will be wearing the color martini olive. The venue is an outdoor, garden. Ladies may want to avoid footwear with skinny heels.

How will childcare work during the ceremony?

Childcare will be provided during the ceremony at the rental property just a few steps away from the ceremony location. We welcome everyone to the reception! If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch with us so we may address them.

Are childen welcome to the reception?

Yes! We only ask that our wedding ceremony be children free. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with us at the reception!
