Christopher and Shelby met at a local coffee shop in Tupelo, MS after being set up by his sister in November 26, 2022. They continued talking after meeting, as Shelby went back to Clinton, MS to continue teaching and Christopher stayed in Tupelo. On January 7, 2023, Christopher came down to Clinton to see Shelby. He then asked her if she would be his girlfriend. And the rest is history!

While on family vacation with Christopher's family, Christopher and Shelby took a walk to see a beautful waterfall. While standing there observing the waterfall, Christopher got down on one knee and asked Shelby to marry him. Shelby, of course, ecstatically said yes!
