God's timing truly is everything and it pays to be picky! Shelby knew God had a plan but was starting to doubt that she would ever find someone who could check off all her boxes and be everything she needed. One day while sitting at Cooter Brown's, Shelby's friends Jessica and Liz Socha finally convinced Shelby to make a profile on a dating app called "Hinge". Since Shelby worked night shift and Covid made it impossible to meet people, she caved and made one. Within a month, this cute guy named "Jacob" with the most adorable black lab came across her app and she decided to swipe right. It was a match! Jacob had also swiped right on her too.

After a conversation on the app about snapper fishing, Jake decided he wanted to take Shelby out on a date. With Shelby's crazy night shift schedule, her first available day was the day Jake had a friend's wedding. Jake "jokingly" asked Shelby to the wedding and to Jake's surprise she said yes! After Jake cleared his new "wedding date" with the Bride and Groom, Shelby and Jake decided to meet in person for breakfast so that Jake wouldn't be taking a complete ~stranger~ to a wedding. Breakfast went extremely well and made Jake and Shelby even more excited for the wedding date. Blaire and Cameron's wedding ended up being the best "first" date that Shelby or Jake could have imagined and they ended up completely hitting it off and dancing the entire night away. It didn't take long for them to realize there was something special here and that this would blossom into a beautiful relationship.

It is true that when you know, you know! Shelby knew that this man was everything she ever prayed for and that God sent him to her. Jake knew that being picky would pay off and Shelby was something truly special.
