We plan to stay here throughout the weekend as well, and we would love to be near everyone!
Transportation
RIDESHARE: We recommend Uber/Lyft or using public transit throughout the city. There are endless tunnels, one-ways, and bridges that overlap each other, and it can be very stressful to drive here (yes, far worse than Nashville).
PUBLIC TRANSIT: The public transit is decent, safe, and usually runs on time. Use the PRT Trip Planner function if you want to use public transit. Google Maps will show you options and live time updates as well. There's an app you can download to preload fare and just scan the QR code as you get on.
BIKES: The POGOH bikes are a great way to get around as well, but we highly recommend the e-bikes! Shelby rides the POGOH bikes home from school (in Oakland), and recommends them if you're exploring Southside Flats or the greenway. The PBSC app will show you where/how full bike racks are. (Note: the public electric scooters are banned in Pittsburgh, so bikes are fairly popular)
PARKING: Parking is an additional $30/night at the Sheraton, and all residential streets are by permit only. If you plan to drive, please let Shelby know, so she can get you a guest pass to street park on their street.
