Shelby and Damon met at Huntington Beach High School in 2012. At the time they were freshmen and became friends after meeting in their mutual parent pickup spot after school one day. They flirted for 2 years, bonding over music and a shared interest in art. They became official over a Skype call during the summer break of their Junior year, during which Damon forgot to mute before throwing up is arms and letting out a triumphant "YES!!", a moment that ,unbeknownst to them, would plant the seed of a powerful love.

After graduating, the two attended separate colleges to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. During this time the two maintained a medium distance relationship with Shelby driving to Hollywood on weekends to visit Damon and Damon returning to Huntington Beach on his quarterly breaks to spend time with Shelby. This period was a test of their commitment to each other and allowed them to grow as individuals while also choosing to grow and nurture the love they had sprouted.

After the two graduated college and entered the workforce, Shelby moved to LA to live with Damon, and the two shared apartments with roommates for a few years before finally moving out on their own in 2020 and adopting their wonderful dog, Bonnie. In late 2023 they moved to Long Beach where they continue to tend the garden of their love.

Through twelve years of love, they've continued to choose each other every day. They laugh, cry, and grow together, strengthening their roots and always looking to tend to their leaves, so that their love may blossom ever fuller with each passing year.
