We met in the Fall of 2020 while working in the St. Lukes Boise ICU in the midst of the pandemic. Both of Shelby’s patients had passed, and Nathan kindly introduced himself and offered to body bag them so she could step away for a break. This may sound morbid to some, but the kindness was an appreciated gesture in a difficult time.

We eventually left Boise to travel nurse together, living in California, Washington, New Mexico and Oregon before returning to Boise in Spring of 2023 to plant our roots.
