Q + A

How to RSVP and RSVP Deadline

Please RSVP by 04/27/2024. This is what we consider the latest anyone should RSVP. Since this is a destination wedding, it REALLY helps to know in as far advance as possible so that we may make as many sleeping arrangements as possible. So, if you know you will be there, come rain or shine, let us know so we can chat about rentals, travel, sleeping accommodations. We are sending out invitations 5 months before the wedding and you can respond to that RSVP too. Or you can RSVP digitally on this site.

ACCOMODATIONS NOTE (PLEASE READ):

Accomodations are being provided for the bridal party and immediate family to bride and groom only. We are attaching links to hotels, lodges, Inns and air bnb, as well as vrbo. This can be found under the 'Travel and Accommodations' link. We have been informed by several guests that lodging is already filling up for this time next year. The sooner you make lodging reservations, the better. Start shopping now to avoid everything being fully booked.

Are Children Allowed?

We are changing the 'no children' policy. It has been the number one question and concern. We sympathize with anyone who cannot travel without their kiddos due to limited care/babysitting and the worries you might have leaving the state if something should come up (emergency, illness, etc.). We originally noted that 'With exception to the wedding party, we would like to make this an adults-only celebration'. We apologize for any inconvenience this change has caused and hope that this advance notice means you are still able to celebrate with us on our big day. ***If you are bringing your little ones, we will need their names and ages in advance (along with any dietary restrictions). Please also keep in mind that there will be an open bar, smoking is allowed in designated areas, AND edibles will be available at the dinner/reception. While in Washington, do as the Washingtonians do! :) Please plan ahead by considering who will be your designated driver. Be safe and partake responsibly.

WHAT TO WEAR

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Please take a look at the venue photos when thinking about what shoes you'd like to wear. There are two grass lawns the reception will be on and a little bit of a walk on a rock and dirt path to the ceremony area. Nothing strenuous, but I would keep this in mind as it is a big space to walk around!

CABLE/INTERNET

Some may call this the ultimate 'roughing it' weekend! There is no cable at any of the cabins onsite (and the two houses offsite), but there is WiFi internet, so you are able to bring a Firestick or Apple TV, etc. But we highly suggest spending as little time in your cabin as possible. You will be amazed what an unplugged weekend, embraced in the aw-inspiring beauty of the Pacific Northwest, will do to recharge you heart, mind and soul.

Where do we park?

There is plenty of parking at the venue near the entrance to the left for everyone to be able to park. We will have signs and someone letting you know where to go.

Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outside so please plan accordingly. Weather at this time of year is a lovely 75 degrees. There will be outdoor space heaters for the reception if the temperature starts to drop.

What will the weather be like?

Fingers crossed, July 27th is supposed to be Washington's best day of the year! In the past couple of years, the highs have been in the 80's and 90's. Under the shade of the trees, you will enjoy temperatures closer to 75 degrees. It may get a little chilly at night so be sure to bring a jacket!

Can we share our photos?

If you post any pictures, please tag your photos with our wedding hashtag #carefootwedding2024 so we can keep track of all the special memories! :)
