Some love stories start with candlelight and violins. Shelby and Bri’s began on a Lady Gaga dance floor—with a stolen tortilla chip. One bold salsa dip later, and they weren’t just sharing snacks—they were sharing the start of something unforgettable.For years, they traded random DMs (most of which Shelby ignored) until Bri got creative with the magic opener: “Hope you sleep average.” Somehow, that was the one that sparked something more.Their first in-person meet-up was unforgettable. Shelby’s infamous Houston driving had Bri stomping on an imaginary brake pedal, and Shelby was unusually quiet in the car—Bri wasn’t used to silence thanks to her family. After a few losses at the arcade to every game in the building, Shelby finally broke out of her shell. Within 24 hours, she was meeting Bri’s entire family. From there, it was flights back and forth, countless miles, and the ultimate U-Haul moment: a Buc-ee’s photo before a 24-hour drive to Norfolk, Virginia, where Bri was stationed.Through the years, Bri taught Shelby how to stylishly flip the bird without it looking like her first time. They always make time for a $10 casino trip—spoiler alert: they never hit. Shelby, in turn, showed Bri that life’s better with a splash of pink, a sprinkle of sparkle, and sometimes, the bravest move is simply closing your eyes and trusting her driving.Their closets may be overflowing with Shelby’s clothes, but their life is overflowing with adventure, humor, and love. Katie and I met thanks to a random roommate assignment at Texas A&M, and it didn’t take long to realize how much we balance each other—me with my chaos, her with her calm. She’s a one-woman show, the ultimate girls’ girl and hype woman, and also somehow a high school principal (seriously, who does that?). There’s never a dull moment when she’s around. From late-night deep talks to her serenading me with her guitar (still hoping for daily living room concerts), Katie just makes life better—and way more fun. I can’t wait to celebrate and laugh with her on the big day!

Chloe and I met at work and instantly clicked—probably because someone had to balance out my chaos. You’ll find us giggling, cry-laughing, and turning even the most boring situations into full-on comedy sketches. She’s been a coworker, a sister, and my personal hype woman for all of life’s wins (and fails).

Caressa and I went to high school together but didn’t actually meet until a few years ago—thankfully, the universe gave us a second chance. From deep couch talks to random adventures, she’s been my partner in crime, my “yes let’s do this” friend, and someone I can always count on to laugh at my terrible jokes. She’s the kind of friend who makes life better just by being in it.

Ryan and I met playing volleyball and instantly became besties. From laughing so hard we cried to adventures that may or may not have been slightly reckless, Ryan makes life brighter and a lot more ridiculous. He’s the kind of friend who keeps you laughing, reminds you of all your “perfection” (and never lets you forget it), and always knows how to turn even the simplest moments into something memorable.

Kendyl and I also met as random roommates, and we immediately started a tradition of failed makeup trends, roommate dinners, and bellyache laughter. She’s equal parts chaos coordinator and therapist-in-training, and I can’t wait to have her around to help manage the wedding shenanigans.

Rose and I met on Craigslist (yes, really—the best Craigslist find of all time). She’s the most joyful person you’ll ever meet, the ultimate hype girl, and always ready for a dance party or deep talk. Basically, she’s a one-woman good-vibes machine, and the wedding is lucky she agreed to share her energy with us.

Bailey may be my little sister, but she somehow appointed herself family manager years ago. She’s sassy, armed with the fastest comebacks, and doubles as our built-in baker (truly the real MVP at holidays). Bailey keeps everyone in line while keeping us laughing, and I can’t wait for her to bring that energy to the wedding day.

Riley is my littlest sister and somehow managed to be smart, funny, and wickedly talented all at once. She’s the kind of person who can make you laugh without even trying and impress you with just about everything she does. I’m excited she’ll be part of the wedding and bringing her own unique energy to the day.
