Our Wedding

Shelby and Austin can’t really tell their love story without first acknowledging the obscure odds of not only matching via an online dating app, but the fact that they met in the middle of a global pandemic. It was the end of summer 2020 when Austin made the first move by way of an out-of-pocket cheesy joke that somehow ended in a 2 hour phone call, 46 mile drive, and a first date. All in one day! A little over 2 months after their first date on that late summer evening, Shelby and Austin made it official on November 1, 2020. Since then, it has been 4 years of growth and adventure, long-distance FaceTimes, morning brunches, movie nights, concerts, coffee dates, stacking up car miles, and lots of love. If you ask Austin, he’ll probably tell you that he has no idea how he pulled someone like Shelby. He is struck by her beauty and in awe of her heart. For Shelby, it isn’t just that Austin easily resembles her celebrity crush, Chad Michael Murray, but that he opens her car door, keeps his promises, and loves Jesus with his whole heart. In God’s perfect timing, on April 27, 2024, Austin got down on one knee and asked Shelby to be his wife by the lake she calls her happy place. If you would have asked Shelby and Austin just a few short years ago to write up a love story, neither could have dreamed up the story that is theirs. It’s not traditional or at all conventional, but it’s a story that could only be written by the author Himself. Shelby and Austin are overjoyed to begin this next chapter of their lives and could not be more excited to share in celebrating their special day on May 3, 2025 alongside their friends and family.

WHAT DATE SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Kindly RSVP on our website no later than April 3, 2025.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Attire: Semi-Formal

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Please arrive to the venue at least 20-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to ensure plenty of time to park and find your seat.

IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?

Yes, there is a parking available on site. We are unable to keep vehicles at the venue overnight, so please plan accordingly. Uber and Lyft do pick up at the venue. It is best to schedule for pick-up at least 45 minutes before you plan to depart the reception.&nbsp;

WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Weather permitting, our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors. The reception will follow in the climate-controlled barn.&nbsp;

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

We invite you to be truly present at our ceremony and respectfully request that all cameras and phones be turned off as both professional photo and video will be taken.

Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions in the designated section of the digital RSVP. We will work with our caterer to accommodate your needs.
