Shelby's POVI was very involved in the Episcopal Church and went on loads of trips and met amazing friends throughout my time. When I first arrived to&nbsp;this particular trip the leader of our group had convinced us (Emily and I) to volunteer to be small group leaders. At the meeting for all leaders we had to pick a number and that would be the small group we would lead. The small group I ended up choosing was in a science classroom (I think - I guess this is also when I should say that this event took place at Bethel University). At the first small group meeting, anxiety was high for me and everyone was so quiet. I made a comment about the quietness and one of the William's in the group said "oh just you wait" and that is how we first met.From there we kept running into each other throughout the full days of the conference. This conference had people from all over the US (over 1000 people) so I was very surprised at how many times we had ended up running into each other. For those who know us, that is how the "stalker" nickname began. Two of my favorite memories from these encounters would have to be when we ended up sitting back to back at one of the meals without even noticing, and when our two groups ended up being in the same row in the auditorium for the final eucharist.That final night we exchanged numbers and honestly just kept in touch. If you told me then, we would be here now, I would have laughed probably until I could not breathe.I still remember the countless nights we would text or talk or Skype (before there was Facetime). We would watch movies and honestly talk about anything and everything. Looking back on it, he was the best friend I did not know I needed.But... that is basically how we met. From there we stayed friends throughout the years until 10 YEARS LATER when he finally asked me to be his girlfriend.Now here we are. Love you Stalker! Williams POVOne day after church, Mother Chris (our Officiant) came up to me and "offered" me a chance to attend this huge Episcopal youth conference called EYE (Episcopal Youth Event - very clever we know) but it was more she thought it be good for me and told me I would be attending. So summer after my Junior Year I went to this event with more than 1000 attendees. Luckily having a few of my fellow youth from our church did make it easier on the nerves but nervous I was.&nbsp;So during this event every morning you were required to meet with what they called your small groups, and guess what Shelby was our small group leader. She walked in and sat on the desk of the professor lab table and was looking around and said “it’s really quiet in here” and I replied “just you wait.” And that’s pretty much how the story began.&nbsp;After that day we started to run into each other all over the campus, may I remind you this event was on a full college campus with over 1000 plus people so the odds were not in our favor. Our groups ended up sitting behind each other at meal times and somehow even ended up in the same pew during church service. We ended up nicknaming each other stalker.&nbsp;&nbsp;After the event we stayed in contact over the years and even visited each other a few times at first and just over the years it become more frequent and feels like a short time but decided couldn’t live my life without her which brings us to today.
