Meeting one another is one of Jared and Shelby's favorite stories to tell. Their paths crossed on Memorial Day weekend in 2012 at a party where their two worlds collided.

Jared stepped on Shelby's foot, breaking her sandal. Jared felt mortified, and to make amends, he offered to carry her to the car to help her recover from the shoe disaster. Shelby laughed and thanked him for his offer but told him she could make it to the car.

Their first "official" date was a beautiful dinner at the Shikellamy Overlook, which offers a breathtaking view of the river. It was this spot that held a special place in their hearts.

Fast forward to the summer of 2023, there, Jared proposed to Shelby. He wore the same shirt he had worn the night they first met.

Today, Shelby and Jared live together in a cozy home with their two adorable dogs, Nova and Jake. Since their first encounter, their love story has grown into a beautiful journey of shared laughter, unforgettable moments, and a love stronger than anything they could have imagined in that moment they met in 2012.
