August 2018
Our story begins when Nick saw me during welcome week for the start of pharmacy school and thought I was "the prettiest girl ever".
July 2019
Fast forward to the summer before our second year of pharmacy school. Nick’s work friends forced him to download Bumble (a dating app where females reach out first) and made him a profile. I also downloaded this app. We matched and shared a few words, until I didn't message back. I thought that it could lead to awkward interactions during school.
August 2019
I’m on a committee with some of Nick's friends, helping with the incoming pharmacy students’ welcome week. During some of our free time, we started talking and Nick was repeatedly brought up in conversation. His friends were thinking that he should be set up with a girl, and I dropped the news that we had matched on bumble.
August 2019 (our first week of classes)
I found out that Nick and I were randomly matched to be lab partners for the upcoming semester. I started panicking and text one of his friends. Nick's friends had already told him that he and I were lab partners for the semester.
September 2019
I invite Nick's friends to my birthday gathering and tell his friends to bring him along. They decide that they can't come and so I get Nick's phone number from a mutual friend. I tell him he can come despite his friends not coming, but he turns me down and says that he needed to study.
October/November 2019
My friends kindly pressured me to start having lunch with Nick between classes on Thursdays. The lunches helped to turn my friends into his friends as well.
November 25th, 2019
Nick FINALLY asks me to be his girlfriend.
2019-2022
We go on vacations together - spend holidays together - create a strong foundation of a relationship.
May 16th, 2022
We get ENGAGED during our celebration vacation in Hawaii for graduating pharmacy school!
TL:DR
Nick and I were lab partners and have been together ever since!
