It was the first few days of college when we met for the first time, fall of 2014. With similar tastes in music (My Chemical Romance and Arctic Monkeys) and culture (Dan showing Shelby the Office for the first time) we became instant friends. Our lives intertangled throughout school sharing similar hobbies (APO: a theater fraternity), friends (à la fancy dinner parties), and feelings… feelings that eventually led to our friendship becoming so much more.

At the end of our senior year, we finally made it official (aka accepted our deep attachment for each other) and have enjoyed seven amazing, loving years together so far. From long road trips from New Jersey to Maine, to moving in together and adopting a kitten (Eris) and then another (Mike), to exploring Montreal to Hawaii and countless back roads, we’ve grown up, and grown even closer together.

Daniel proposed on January 13th 2024 in Salem, MA, disguised as a spooky birthday trip for Shelby. While the day started out rainy and dreary as we drove in, it turned into a beautiful, perfect day as the clouds opened up and we had the park to ourselves for Dan to pop the question. It was an easy yes.

We’re so excited to celebrate with those we love and cherish most.
