Ryan and Shelby met how a lot of couples in 2019 met, on a dating app lol. Ryan lived in Copper Mountain and Shelby lived 2.5 hours away, in Denver. It is still a mystery how they came across each other’s profiles.

After a month of texting and late night phone calls, they finally planned to meet in person at the Burton Snowboarding Event in Vail. With the help and persuasion of Shelby’s girlfriends, they made the trek to Vail (in a blizzard might I add). Within minutes of meeting, Shelby dropped an entire drink on Ryan’s white converse and thought she had ruined everything. But with a big smile on his face, Ryan hooked arms with Shelby and they skipped away to get another drink- jumping and splashing in every puddle along the way. Love at first splash, if you will.

Fast forward three years and the two are living happily in Fort Collins, CO with their two dogs; Dexter and Otto, ready to start their new journey as husband and wife.
