The beginning of our love story is not one that we often share. It comes followed by a few giggles and some shocked faces. In the fall of 2016, the beloved couple met through a mutual friend in school. they had never experienced the feeling that they had when their eyes first met. they are still fully convinced that it was love at first sight. The couple spent most of their first months together doing what all teenage kids did, many being Friday nights at football games. During the beginning years of their relationship, John ended up moving from Millcreek to Shelby's family's home to finish off high school in Girard where he wanted to play football. It was all history from there. Family vacations began, multiple trips to places they had never been and of course, their first puppy came right before they finally decided that it was time to move out on their own. In 2021, just days after Shelby’s 21st birthday, they closed on their first home together. After spending almost every day together for 5 years, they were on their own in their own home where they have spent another almost 4 years. The long-awaited proposal finally came in November of 2023, one that nobody thought would ever come! Now they are just a short time away from officially becoming one and getting to share that moment with the ones they love the most! It has been a long journey filled with laughs, tears, good times and bad times but they would not have wanted to spend that time with anyone else. We are forever grateful for each other and everyone who is reading this. We can’t wait to see you on our special day!
