Q + A

When should I RSVP by?

Due to vendors needing final guest counts, RSVP’s will be due by 5/1/24.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation. Please review your invitation which will advise you if you have a plus one.

If my invitation states I have a plus one, how do I add them?

If your invitation includes a plus one, when you go to the RSVP section of our page and enter your name, you should immediately be taken to a page that asks you to include who you are bringing. You will click on guest and it will prompt you to enter their name. If you were given a plus one (indicated on the envelope) but you are not prompted to provide the guest name, please reach out to us via text!

Where do I find the registry?

We are fortunate enough to already have all the physical items we need for our home. Instead, please contribute to our honeymoon fund to help us experience the trip of a lifetime. This can be found in our registry section of The Knot, or if you prefer we will have a card station at the reception.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Yes! The dress code is semi-formal. This includes a nice dress, pant suit or skirt and blouse. Additionally, dress pants with a dress shirt or a suit. Please avoid wearing leisure wear such as jeans/sneakers and wearing all white.

What will the weather be like?

Current forecast predicts a high temperature on June 22nd of 93 degrees and partly sunny. While we anticipate a potential decrease in the evening, we kindly request that our guests consider wearing lightweight and breathable attire to ensure comfort. Although the venue does not have air conditioning, we have arranged for fans to be in operation throughout the reception and doors open to provide a more comfortable environment.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Lane57 Event Venue in New Albany, OH. Our ceremony will be outdoors (in the shade) and our reception will take place inside the barn of the venue.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, guests will immediately walk into the barn of the venue and enjoy cocktail hour with the open bar and charcuterie table while the Wedding party takes pictures.

What is parking like at the venue?

When you enter the venue, there is a gravel parking lot to the left side before you hit the barn where you can park.

What time should I arrive?

We suggest guests arrive at 4PM to ensure enough time to walk from the gravel parking lot to the ceremony and find their seat. The ceremony (weather permitting) will be on the side of the barn next to the lavender field.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event (with the exception of our junior bridesmaid) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Due to the amount of hotels in New Albany and the surrounding areas, we will not be doing a block. If you are coming from out of town, please review the Travel section of our Knot page that provides hotels both in New Albany and around Columbus. We recommend staying at the hotels in New Albany as they are very close to the venue, but feel free to stay near Easton Mall or downtown Columbus!

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

We will have a buffet style dinner. The choices are between Chicken Parmigiana and a vegetarian option of Six Cheese Ravioli with Alfredo. There will be a choice of sides of asparagus and garlic smashed potatoes additionally with Caesar salad.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We will have an open bar with our signature cocktails of The Winnie (Lavender Gin & Tonic) and The Rudy (Jameson & Coke). We will also have Vodka, Wine and Beer for those who do not want the signature cocktails. For those who will not be drinking, sodas and water will also be provided.

Is there handicap parking?

Yes - all handicap parking can be at the barn (see photo below sectioning both guest and handicap parking). The venue is also handicap friendly with pavement for easy mobility.
