February 24, 2022 - How We Met

John Preston and I met through my best friend, Summer! She wanted to go to Ricks Cafe for her birthday and when we were there, Summer sent my snapchat username to John Preston and was trying to set us up! I told her absolutely not because he was four years younger than me. When they were on facetime in the middle of Ricks Cafe, John Preston kept calling me his “wife” and told Summer that I would be the woman he married one day! We became close but I let him know that we were just friends even though he begged me everyday to give him a chance!

After being friends for months and him begging me if he could take me on a date, I finally said okay, and thank God I did! He picked me up and we went to eat at El Veracruz in Starkville, MS! We still go on “mexican food date night” about once a week!

June 24, 2022 - Our First Date

When I asked Shelby to be my girlfriend, I was so nervous. Little did I know, I would be asking her to be my wife two years later! She was everything I had always dreamed of. I knew she was the one when I saw she loved to run dogs just as much as I do! Weve been inseparable ever since! 

July 24, 2022 - when we started dating

John Preston stole my heart before I even knew it. He is the most caring, loving, and soft hearted person I have ever met! He showed me from the very beginning that he was everything I had ever wanted in a relationship! The way he looked at me told me that he adored everything about me without even using words. Ive never had to worry about a single thing because he has shown me he will always be there to take care of me! He has been there for me when I was hurting, crying, happy, and all of the above. He is my rock, my home. I knew he was the one, not by what he bought me but by how he treated me! I love him more than words can describe! 

How I knew He was the one

When I talked to Summer about Shelby, I knew she was the one that I have always dreamed of. She is so beautiful inside and out. She has been my best friend ever since the day we met! She is caring and will listen to anything I have to say. I am so lucky to have a woman who shares the same interests as me and loves me as much as Shelby does. She has been the one I’ve always wanted to have in my life. This next step is going to be nothing but amazing! She makes life so fun and interesting! I love her more than she will ever know. 

How I knew She was the one

September 7, 2024 - The engagement 

A few weeks before the engagement, all of my girls were planning to meet at weidmans and eat since everyone was going to be in town! Its so hard to leave all my girls since we’re hardly ever all together anymore. I invited everyone to come back to our house to play games and hangout, but I had no idea that was the plan all along. They agreed with me, keeping the secret that John Preston was proposing to me as soon as we all got there! My best friends, Hannah and Anna, told me to walk around to the backyard and thats when I saw the pier all lit up with candles! I was so shocked! Music starts playing from the back porch and I looked to find all of our family and friends there! I have no idea how they kept it from me but it was the most beautiful night of my life and the easiest decision Ive ever had to make!
