Shelby & Joshua met in early 2019. With mutual friends connecting them at a birthday party, they saw each other for the first time. They reconnected again and again socially until they realized they started working at the same jobsite and were going to be in weeks long training together. Late night chit-chats before leaving work turned into Joshua checking on Shelby making sure she made it home to Columbus safely each evening. This led Shelby and Joshua agreeing to her spending work nights at his place so the long drive home would not be so harsh on her. Joshua opened his home up to her as they both knew this could be more than friendship. In this time they laughed, loved, and explored life together. They quickly grew fond of each other. Finally one morning Joshua got up early on a day Shelby was to make the trip back home to Columbus. He went on a small adventure to the flower shop and the hardware store. When returning he had a special gift laid out for Shelby. He woke her up and asked if she wanted coffee and there was something special in the kitchen for her. Inspecting the kitchen Shelby found a beautiful vase of her favorite flowers and a key to Joshuas condo tied around the vase. He asked if she wanted to move in and be together forever. That day was June 15th, 2019. On May 31st, 2024 after almost 5 years spent wonderfully together Joshua asked Shelby to join him on a evening cruise in the truck to a reservoir. Driving alone together was and still is their favorite way to spend quality time together. They walked the grassy land around the reservoir and then took a small adventure to the Swartz Covered Bridge. The bridge overlooks the Sandusky River and this is where Joshua got on one knee and asked Shelby if she wanted to be together forever. Now in remembrance of their 6th anniversary are celebrating it with you all by getting married.
