Joe and Shelby's first date: Joe and Shelby got introduced through Lincoln (Shelby's younger brother) who was part of a youth group Joe helped run. Lincoln reached out to Joe saying "You should meet my sister".

Engaged: Joe and Shelby got engaged along the Oregon Coast, one of their favorite places to visit together.
