Our Wedding

We first met in January 2019 while working on Elijah’s sister Elizabeth’s production of The Outsiders. Shelby was behind the scenes, Elijah was on stage, and somewhere between rehearsals and quick backstage conversations, a friendship started to form. On September 9, 2020, that friendship turned into something more when Elijah asked Shelby to be his girlfriend. Our first date was a picnic in the park with a charcuterie board Elijah made from scratch — the perfect start to what would become years of shared adventures. Since then, we’ve worked on more theatre productions together, taken road trips, and navigated four years of long distance while Elijah attended Brown University. In 2024, while Shelby was still in her apartment, we adopted two cats who quickly made themselves at home. Then, in March 2025, we moved into our first house and began making it our own. On August 25, 2024, Elijah proposed, and we celebrated surrounded by our friends and family. Now, we’re counting down the days until we say “I do” and begin this next chapter together.
