The first time we met was in 2017 when we would meet up with each other to watch Bellarmine basketball games, which is where Josh attended high school. However, we truly met in 2021 when we were both looking for roommates fresh out of COVID at Central Washington University. We didn't know it then, but deciding to live together would be one of the best, most life altering, decisions of our lives.
After that, we only grew closer and closer. To prevent any awkwardness, it was unanimously agreed that dating was not on the table during our time as roommates, so we dedicated the year of living together to growing our friendship! We feel so grateful for that year because we received the opportunity to learn about each other and learn to love each other without the romance, which has made our eventual relationship only that much stronger.
Being best friends first allowed us to find so much fun, peace, adventure, and safety in our relationship because of the many things we have in common, like movies (Harry Potter...duh), music (Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift...obviously), and sleep schedules (which we are actively working on), but also the differences that balance each other out and bring us outside of our comfort zones.
We have felt like best friends from the moment we reconnected in 2021, and we have only fallen more and more in love with each other ever since. We could not be happier to end up where we are and we want to thank you all for sharing this highly anticipated day with us! Let's do this!
